The AMS-LaTeX and AMS-TeX packages provides a large number of sophisticated features for typesetting mathematics. The AMSfonts package provides mathematical fonts and symbols. Links to the documentation appear below.

PostScript Tools

The psfrag package allows you to replace a text "anchor" string in an EPS file with an arbitrary LaTeX construction, e.g. an equation. This allows one to pretty up the output of drawing and graphing programs.

The PSTricks package is a collection of PostScript-based macros. It allows you to include colors, simple graphics, and sophisticated effects in your LaTeX document. This a very powerful and useful package.
