Maple at WPI

WPI has a site license to install and run Maple on any DEC workstation on campus. This includes the older DECstations as well as Alpha/AXP workstations. Our present license agreement does not allow us to install Maple on other workstation platforms or on PCs.

You can also run Maple from an X terminal, for example in the Garden lab (FL B17) or in the Fuller I/O area (FL 222), which is hosted from a CCC Unix machine.

Also, CCC has purchased software for PCs that allows them to act as X terminals. This will allow owners of PCs to access Maple by logging into one of the CCC Unix machines. The software is called PC-Xware and is available though the Novell network.
